Only 30% of the world’s population was urban in 1950. Today, more than half of the world’s people live in cities. Urban growth can drive us to environmental degradation and requires actions to mitigate the impact.

Green spaces are the “lungs” with which cities breathe. Green spaces are oxygen factories that help cities combat pollution. But urban green spaces are big coolers also, allowing cities to control temperature growth.

The Internet of Things (IoT) helps address environmental problems with different solutions that provide "intelligence" to urban green spaces.
